How To Consign with Blackbird:

  • Please Make An Appointment - Online Only
  • Bring Seasonal Items Only  
  • Please Bring Items Neatly Folded (No Hangers or Garbage Bags)
  • Please Freshly Launder All Items Prior to Appointment 
  • Ensure Items Have No Stains, Holes, Fading or Piling 

Please remember we are only able to accept items with an appointment and will not be able to accommodate walk-ins.

We only accept excellent to like new condition, seasonal, and in-style items purchased within the last few years. While we make exceptions for select vintage pieces, our boutique is primarily for current, in-style fashions.

We prioritize higher-demand brands; such as Artizia, Anthropology, Free People, Levis, Lululemon, Patagonia, Ralph Lauren, Urban Outfitters, etc. We do not accept low-end brands.

Please inspect and wash your items before your appointment. Items must be freshly laundered, with no stains, holes, pet hair, or odors. Shoes must be clean and in like new condition.

We love, clothing, outerwear, purses, shoes, scarves, and sunglasses. 

We do not accept men's, children's, intimates, lingerie, jewellery, or fast fashion. 

What to Expect: 

Once you set up an appointment time with us, we will inform you of what season and/or sizes we are accepting at the time. You are welcome to ask us any questions you may have about brand, style, or type of clothing we are looking for prior to your appointment. 

You can chose to have items that we do not accept, or that later on do not sell, returned to you. You will be contacted by email only and you must pick up your items within 14 days.

Alternatively, we highly suggest donating any items that we are unable to sell. We at Blackbird generally donate to our local New to You benefiting Groves Hospital, however we may donate to other local causes in the community that are in need of clothing donations at the time. 

We keep items on the floor for at least 60 days; longer at our discretion. Please be aware we reserve the right to mark items down at any point we deem necessary. Once an item is accepted and processed, it cannot be returned unless it does not sell and you receive a pickup email from us.

All prices are set by Blackbird, and you will receive 40% of the final sale price of the item. You may use this in store credit, or take in cash. 

Please remember we receive a lot of stock, and it is perfectly normal that we will almost always have to pass on some of your items. Please do not take offence to this, we have to carefully select what we carry at Blackbird based on what we know is going to sell. We make decisions on items based on brand of the item, condition of the item, current inventory, selling trends and space available.
