How To Consign with Blackbird:

  • Please Make An Appointment Using The Calendar Below
  • Please Read and Accept Terms and Conditions and Confirm Appointment
  • Bring Seasonal Like-New Condition Items Only 
  • Please Bring Items Neatly Folded (No Hangers or Garbage Bags)
  • ALL Items Must Be Freshly Laundered Prior to Appointment 
  • Ensure All Items are Free of Stains, Holes, Fading, Piling, Pet Hair, or Odors

What We Accept: 

We accept excellent to like-new, seasonal, and in-style clothing purchased within the last few years. While we make exceptions for select vintage pieces, our boutique primarily focuses on current fashion trends.

We prioritize high-demand brands such as Aritzia, Anthropologie, Free People, Levi’s, Lululemon, Patagonia, Ralph Lauren, Urban Outfitters, etc. We do not accept low-end brands.

What To Expect:

  • Appointments are required and must be booked through the calendar below.
  • We will independently review your items during your appointment slot, this typically takes us 15-30 minutes.
  • You are welcome to shop in-store or return later that same day to pick up any unaccepted items.
  • We do not provide itemized lists at intake. If requested, we can tell you how many items were accepted.
  • No paperwork is required! Your information is collected during the booking process, so just drop off your items—we’ll handle the rest.

Processing and Selling:

  • Items typically take a few weeks to be processed and placed on the sales floor. Please allow at least one month before checking on your account (ideally the full 60 days) as we receive a high volume of inquiries.
  • We keep items on the floor for at least 60 days; longer at our discretion.
  • Please be aware we reserve the right to mark items down at any point we deem necessary. 
  • Once accepted and processed, items cannot be returned unless they do not sell and you receive a pickup email.

Payout and Donations:

  • Earnings: All prices are set by Blackbird, and you will receive 40% of the final sale price of the item. You may use this in store credit, or take in cash. 
  • You can chose to have items that we do not accept, or that later on do not sell, returned to you. You will be contacted by email only and you must pick up your items within 14 days.
  • Alternatively, we highly suggest donating any items that we are unable to sell. We at Blackbird generally donate to our local New to You benefiting Groves Hospital, however we may donate to other local causes in the community that are in need of clothing donations at the time. 

Final Notes:

  • Please remember we receive a large volume of stock, so it’s normal for us to pass on some of your items. We make careful selections are based on brand, condition, current inventory, selling trends, and available space. Please don’t take it personally!
